MSR Steam Separator function: Wet steam discharged from the high-pressure cylinder first passes through the MSR separator to remove moisture, turning the steam into dry saturated steam. The separated water is then discharged promptly through the condensate drain system. The dry saturated steam then enters the MSR reheater section for reheating and finally exits into the low-pressure cylinder.
